Concept - when we revisit sai-ga as adults we leave love letters to it and to Chibimars. I was talking to a friend today about the "strangers who raised us" as internet kids in the early 00's - people we didn't know the faces or real names of, but who we talked to and played with every day. No exaggeration, you all were more of a support network than what I had at home or school ages 10-14, and I couldn't have even known or understood that at the time. So much of what we did here formed me as an artist and as a person. I love you. I hope adulthood is kind to you. P.S. I don't remember what the purple cat that ate things was called or who originally drew it, but seeing that cat in some old notes is what lead me back here. Patches? Sonira? |

Llama, were you always Llama here? I think I remember you!! I was just talking to my spouse about how I used to do so much digital media as a teenager and how my best friend (she was "Setsuna" or "SetsunaP38" here on SaiGa well over 15 years ago - we're still best friends!!) and I spent all of our free time here on SaiGa doodling and playing around with others in PaintChat. I got curious and had to see if SaiGa was still up and I am SO happy it is!! And I am so excited I get to see this 2020 post in real-ish time. Llama you said it best - Sailor Games was such an important place for me and my best friend as teenagers, to escape to and have fun with people who I only wish I had been able to follow after SaiGa became quiet. Chibimars gave us a safe space. <3 I think the purple cat was a Patches creation?? |

I too was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to see if this place is still up and running. I miss this website’s community in the mid-2000s. It was a place I could turn to when friends were hard to come by. |

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only Millennial walking down Memory Lane these days. I was on Sailor Games for hours every day back in the early Aughts, drawing on the oekaki boards and playing the games as a young teenager. I remember being so please whenever someone would comment on one of my pictures. I was also constantly in awe of the talent on display. I wish that I could remember any of my old friends to see if they're doing all right (especially THIS year). I hope that y'all are doing well and are staying safe! |

wow it's surprising to see something (kinda) newish here... I'm not sure if anyone remembers me but I used to lurk around here and sometimes draw too, but it was mostly before 2004 I'm pretty sure... what a nice little nostalgic trip. |

I used to fall in love with this site. I loved to draw endlessly, either on paper or digital. Now, my computer skills wasn't all that great, but I gave my all, mostly in the Manga section. I also loved chatting on the forum and Paint Chat. My skills are still the same because U haven't been able to use the Painter for awhile to practice, but my skills on paper is a lot more better. I hope everyone's doing great, and having a wonderful Spring/Summer fun. Ciao! |

Same here! I decided to look this site up again after a while, as I was browsing to download art programs and it got me thinking about oekakis. I miss the "old" internet so much. It was so much better in the early-to-mid 2000s. Simpler times. I get really strong nostalgic-pangs, and I always wish I could turn back time. Trying to get back into art. I hope this site will stay up for a while. Hope you're all doing well. |
